The addition of a parrel ball to your system means you can retrieve your Rope Guide from the ground but, untethered, you will need to catch as it comes down - particularly the ART Rope Guides with mechanical cam devices - they are not happy being bounced!
If you don't want your rope guide to 'drop' from the tree you need a Double Snapper. Check out the diagram here which shows exactly how the Double Snapper works - now you can easily lower your system from the branch without having to worry about dropping it.
