The NTCA (Northland Tree Climbers Association) is to hold an aerial rescue practice day (and open forum) in Whangarei on Saturday September 17. The venue will be advised shortly.
The proliferation of new techniques and climbing equipment available on the market today presents potential problems for aerial rescue, particularly if the climber is using unknown equipment. Contractors often don't have the time to keep abreast of new aerial rescue procedures and the practice day and open forum is designed to address this problem.
Members of the NTCA will present some of the newer aerial rescue methods and revisit old ones. This is a practical day so come prepared to get involved. Everyone working in the arb industry is welcome to attend.
Contact Joe Cooper or Troy Alderton at the NTCA for more details.
