This weekend is the International Tree Climbing Competition in Chicago , Illinois, USA. New Zealand has four climbers competing. Scott Forrest and Nicky Ward-Allen represent New Zealand and James Kilpatrick and Chrissy Spence represent the Asia-Pacific Region. Not many countries have this many climbers competing!
As a planned part of her training program Chrissy competed in the recent European TCC in Prague, placing first on points following the prelims. And, James and Scott were commissioned by the Europeans to prepare the tree for the ETCC Masters Challenge as they had done for ISAAC in Adelaide back in May.Reports from Nicky Ward-Allen say it is very hot and humid in Chicago - that should be testing for all competitors on Saturday.
Our four kiwi climbers are well respected internationally for their achievements and contribution to the tree climbing community - and we are proud of them!
Treetools will post more ITCC information as it comes to hand.
