A reputable Auckland marine supply retailer is selling climbing rope at an unbelievably low price. The picture below shows the inside of the rope when an attempt was made to splice it. The reason for the CHEAP price is now very apparent although the outer sheath looked to be in perfect condition. Always buy a rated arborist rope and be very wary of unbelievable bargains.
