The Waikato TCC Workshop is designed for everyone involved in the comps, particularly newcomers to the sport. The workshop will include gear check (what to expect from the scrutineers), interpretation of the 2010 rules and how they effect each of the individual TCC events. All events will be covered in detail by experienced climbers and there will be plenty of opportunity for practical demonstrations.
The next Open Masters will feature the first 'unofficial' world record speed SRT ascent over 20 meters (if footlockers can do 15 meters the SRT boys should be able to do 20 meters with ease). If you want to see SRT in action this is your opportunity to do so.
Event organizer Matt Glen had a tree selected, and permission was being sought from Cornwall Park Management to conduct the event but it appears the gum in question may have suffered some damage since the last time it was climbed back in January - Treetools will get some pictures posted tomorrow.
Treetools will post more information on these upcoming events as more information comes to hand.
In the meantime check out the photos taken at the last Open Masters on 18 April in Cornwall Park, Greenlane, Auckland.
