We could be facetious and say the media hype generated by the Petzl ZigZag is the result of an audience craving for some light relief from the Single Line Ascent/Work Positioning debate but that would not be doing this new product from Petzl any justice at all!
Treetools has been inundated with requests for more information about the Petzl ZigZag since the launch of the video and Product Experience sheet (download your copy early last week.
The Petzl Australasian representative tells us there is 'no expected release date or pricing indication for Australia or New Zealand' as of 14 November but we believe February 2013 might be the timing.
The Petzl ZigZag is tentatively listed in the US at US$205 and €178 in Europe so we can expect prices in New Zealand to be around the NZ$300-350 mark landed (but there is no guarantee on this).
Treetools has a significant ZigZag order bank to fill so here's hoping we are right! More information as it comes to hand.
