Richard Preston on the giant Redwoods of the Pacific Northwest

Here is a video presentation by science writer Richard Preston about the giant Redwoods growing along the US Pacific Northwest coast. Richard's presentation is about 20 minutes long, so you will need to set aside some time but it is well worth the effort.

During the presentation, Richard refers to Prof Steve Sillett, a recognized expert on the giant Redwoods, who pretty much pioneered the concept of tree crown research. Steve has climbed the worlds tallest tree - a giant Redwood called Hyperion.
