Clogger, the New Zealand-made brand of chainsaw protective trousers, is venturing into the 'European-style' market with the launch of a new pair of lightweight Type-A chainsaw trousers.
Based on the existing, ever popular, Clogger Arbormax, the Arbormax Type-A trousers have a completely different styling and look.
Clogger have added pre-formed ArmorTex knees and inner gaff guard, a cell phone pocket and zipped openings (with mesh guard to keep the sawdust out) in the back of the leg and well out of the way when wearing a harness.
The waterproof panels to knee height are retained but the biggest departure from the original Arbormax is the lack of chainsaw protection at the back of the calf - this feature is typical of Type-A trousers, front protection only - and may not suit everyone.
Have your say on the design … and be in to win a pair!
Clogger are keen to get input from the tree climbing community before this new lightweight design is 'caste in concrete'.
If you want the chance to win a pair of the new Arbormax Type-A trousers download the questionnaire here, fill it in and return to Treetools - every entry goes in the draw.
For those of you who like to 'feel the width' we do have a prototype pair of Clogger Arbormax Type-A on display in the shop where you can fill in the form as well. Offer closes April 30, 2014.
