The Protos Integral Crash Absorber Insert is the impact-absorbing liner used in Protos Integral helmets. It is required when converting a Protos Integral Forest helmet to an Integral Arborist configuration, along with a chin strap. The insert fits between the inner cradle and outer shell of the helmet. It improves impact management while maintaining the Protos integrated fit and comfort. Installation involves removing any fitted visor or chin strap components, unclipping the inner shell, positioning the crash absorber with the green marking facing forward, and locking it securely into the helmet tracks. Then, reassemble the helmet. This insert is designed specifically for Protos Integral systems. It provides a straightforward way to configure compatible helmets for arborist use. The Crash Absorber makes damage visible by signalling when the shell needs to be replaced.
