The 680 kg capable winch on the Stein RCW-3001 operates independently to the bollard which means the winch head does not support the load in lowering operations. You can install the detachable winch in seconds, with no tools required. Then, winch the load to its desired position and, to lower, transfer the full weight to the main rigging line by reversing the winch and separating the two lines. Now the suspended load can be safely lowered, independently and unimpeded by the winch. Easily mounted by one person. The large diameter drum easily accommodates working lines up to 19mm and has a working load limit of up to 3000kg (subject to mounting type). The drum has two sets of rope guides (fairleads) specially angled at 45-degrees which allows the operator to add or subtract wraps quickly. Made in the USA.
