Members of the public are showing more interest in the Auckland Regional Tree Climbing Competition than the climbers themselves!
Treetools has fielded numerous requests for information regarding the regions premier tree climbing event this weekend at Western Park - particularly from parents interested in a career in arboriculture for their children.
Typically the Auckland TCC provides a real tree climbing spectacle for onlookers, so expectations are high!
Only problem is, there are not many tree climbers registered for the event. The NZAA have advised that only a handful of climbers have registered to date.
You can download the Entry Form and Waiver Form direct from the NZAA website .
Auckland Regional co-ordinator Craig Webb says: "we have a close-off for registrations this Thursday (10 March) and we may not be able to accommodate climbers after that time".
Pre-registration is essential so that organizers can plan for management of the event. Logistics are a nightmare if the number of participants is unknown.
So climbers… pull your finger out! Get hold of Craig and let him know your intentions for Saturday and help make everyone's life a whole lot easier.
