Yes, it was a typo after all! There is only one BPG for New Zealand Arboriculture (thank goodness).
The WINTEC Best Practice Guideline, scheduled for launch on election day (Saturday November 26), is the tree climbing sub-section of the broader BPG for Arboriculture already presented by NZ Arbor.
According to Andy Harrison, the WINTEC BPG for Tree Climbing has been in the pipeline for a long time and is not an 'opposition' product as cynics might suggest. Andy says the WINTEC BPG for Climbing will compliment all the existing work carried out by NZ Arbor.
As far as Treetools is aware, Thane Young from the Department of Labour will not be in attendance at the launch as planned. Apparently Thane's update on the Arboricultural Code of Practice will now be presented by WINTEC's Rob Graham.
Today is the last day to book a seat at the WINTEC BPG launch function so you better pull your finger out if you want to attend.
