Wellington will host the last New Zealand Arbor regional tree climbing competition for 2011, prior to the Husqvarna nationals in Masterton next month (22-23 October).
Regional event coordinator Julian Emeny says gear check will commence 7:30am on Saturday morning (1 October) at the Glenmore Street entrance to the Wellington Botanic Gardens. The weather should be fine according to the forecast.
Wellington is famous for involving the kids in tree climbing so no doubt it will be the same this year - see last years photographs on Flickr.
A contingent of Auckland tree climbers are planning their annual roadtrip to Wellington so they might not make it by 7:30am start!
