Menno Kluiters and Jelte Buddingh will lead the Splicing Workshop scheduled to coincide with the Labour Weekend Arboricultural Festival in Dunedin. Both these climbers are internationally recognized splicers and bring a wealth of experience to this important workshop.
According to the Arboricultural Festival Facebook page, the workshop should produce an agreed method for splicing Class I and II double braids and 16-strand climbing lines. Cookes, in Dunedin will provide the testing rig.Menno and Jelte will also present the Climbers Open Forum Workshop scheduled to run in conjunction with the 2010 NZAA Conference, Ellerslie Convention Centre, 11-13 November.
