Aspiring Enterprises are planning to launch a New Zealand made tree climbing harness sometime next month. From what Treetools understands it will be similar in design to the popular Tree Austria harness but with plenty of typical Kiwi innovations. It will have a couple of gear loops and a steel ring in the back of the harness for chainsaw attachment along with straps for first aid kit etc.
It will also sport a replaceable bridge - this is important because the bridge is one of the first areas to wear out even on the high-end harnesses. Pricing is not available yet but this NZ made harness is likely to be around the mid $500 mark making it an ideal harness for first timers or arborist company buyers. Treetools will list pictures as soon as they become available - this harness should be a good seller.
