Tree climbing in a 'road-worker' rain jacket is not much fun! That's why UK based Stein Safety developed the Evolution climbing jacket. Now, another UK company, Clark Engineering have followed suit with the CutandClimb Arb Bomber Jacket.
Christchurch climber,Adam Hartshorne picked up one the Clark's CutandClimb jackets whileon a recent trip to the UK. Adam says the jacket lives up to expectations and is perfect for South Island conditions. The CutandClimb is made from a waterproof, breathable fabric called Exeat. According to the literature, Exeat has been on the market for 15 years andreaches EN343 standard for water resistance and breath ability.
Adam will keep us posted on how the jacket performs in the long run.
