The 2012 South Island Regional TCC in Christchurch attracted 32 climbers, Waikato/Bay of Plenty last weekend 40 climbers. Now, the challenge is on for the Wellington Regional?
The Central Districts tree climbers who competed in the Hamilton TCC last weekend produced a sterling effort - Whanganui area locals, Nicky Ward-Allen, Jamie Hartley, Clay Winter and Peter Boyle are the ones to watch this weekend perhaps? Or will one of the Southern city slickers take the title?
A group of Auckland climbers including Shaun Hardman, Dale Thomas and Lin Wah Ling are also traveling down to Whanganui to compete - good practice for the Nationals next month.
The weather forecast for Saturday is showers clearing throughout the day - not enough to dampen spirits one would think.
