A blog reader has questioned the weights used in the DB Tree Rope Saver drop test video - so here's the real oil.
Drew was keen to ensure the weights used in the test were 'verifiable'. ie not a random weight to suit but ones with the actual weight cast into the metal. The 80 kg was made up of four Elite 'Olympic' 20 kg (44lbs) bench press weights and for the 100 kg Drew added two more 10 kg bench weights to balance the load on the sling.
