As alluded to in yesterdays blog, NZAA Top 20 originator Neal Harding has revised the ranking 'mechanics' to a model based on notional/earned system similar to that used in golf ranking.
This modification, as well as the inclusion of points earned from the Wellington Regional TCC on Saturday, means the rankings have changed. You have to remember, this is a ranking list of climbers who climb in New Zealand, not necessarily a list of New Zealand climbers - that's why you'll find Australian climbers Grant Cody, Gerard Reynolds and Kiah Martin on the lists (men and women) - Grant, Gerard and Kiah climbed in New Zealand at qualifying tournaments, the 2010 Auckland Regional TCC and the 2010 Asia-Pacific Regional TCC in March.
Australian woman climber, Kiah Martin completing the Work Climb at the 2010 Auckland Regional TCC during March. Kaih is ranked No.3 in the Womens Tree Climber Rankings.
