It appears winning the Asia-Pacific Regional TCC is the easy part. As winner, you get the honor of representing the Asia-Pacific region at the ITCC - only one problem: you have to find your own way there!
Kiwi climber Chrissy Spence is the current Woman's Asia-Pacific Regional TCC representative. If all went to plan, Chrissy could compete for the world title at the ITCC in Chicago later this year (a title she has every chance of winning). The NZAA contribute $500 towards expenses as part of the AP-TCC winners purse but the rest of the funding (required for travel, gear and accommodation) is left up to the winner to find.
Nicky Ward-Allen, the New ZealandWoman's TCC representative and woman's footlock world record holder, stepped in to assist Chrissy in the search for sponsorship. One of the first stopswas Treetools. It appeared to Treetools early on that sponsorship was not going to be available to the winners of the Asia-Pacific Regional TCC so when Nicky and Chrissyapproached Treetools regarding sponsorship we were happy to oblige.
