The Yale Phantom core is red to help distinguish it from the nylon-core Kernmasters, and the colour also aids in outer jacket inspection (if you can see the red through the jacket, you have a problem!). Finally, the unique sheath pattern ensures you can spot this rope a mile away—ideal for single rope technique, sewn eyes (terminations) only.
